Rhymix is an open source PHP CMS and web framework forked from XpressEngine 1.x. It supports modules, addons, layouts and skins, with its own framework APIs. XpressEngine 3 uses a separate architecture and extension system.
As checked on 17 October 2026, the latest official stable release is 2.1.38, published on 22 September 2026. Development snapshots are separate from stable releases.[1][2]

The official manual lists PHP 7.4 or later (8.2 or later recommended), MySQL 5.7 or later or MariaDB 10.6 or later, and required PHP extensions. These minimum requirements do not establish the security support status of an old PHP release. Check both the target Rhymix release and PHP's support schedule.[3][4]

Upgrading from XE1[편집 / 원본 편집]
Direct conversion requires XE1 1.8 or later. Back up both files and the database, test third party extensions and follow the official upgrade instructions. Replacing Rhymix files with XE1 files is not a supported downgrade; recovery requires the matching backups.[5]
